McTighe, Weiss & O'Rourke has honored the commitment made by its founder, Desmond McTighe, who was President of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners and a noted community leader, to actively participate in community and Bar Association activities. The late Philip D. Weiss continued that tradition as President of the Montgomery Bar Association and member of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He served as President of the Montgomery County Pennsylvania Emergency Services Hospital and Estate Planning Council. He was also a member of the Board of the Greater Norristown Corporation, an organization composed of business leaders committed to the revitalization of Norristown, and Board member and solicitor for Tiferet Bet Israel Synagogue.

Today, the shareholders of the firm have continued that commitment to the community and the Bar Association. Current members of the firm also hold leadership positions with the Montgomery Bar Association, serve on municipal Boards and Commissions, and on the Boards of community and charitable organizations throughout the area.
